COMPANY

Our client is one of the largest manufacturers of high-end hardwood floors in North America. They are recognized for their excellent manufacturing and finishing processes, with a focus on minimizing losses and reduction of their footprint. The company is searching for a factory laborer, specialized in maintenance work to join their team.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

·         General maintenance in the factory (cleaning, light manual work, painting, etc.);

·         Production support (replace staff when needed);

·         Preventative maintenance tasks during shutdowns (ex: blowing);

·         Exterior tasks during the summer periods (grass cutting and more) and winter periods (clear snow from doorways and more);

·         Help in general mechanic tasks (lift and transport tools and pieces, etc.)

·         Acting as the fire warden, respecting all inherent procedures (licence, rounds, pre-work interview, etc.)

·         Manage changes of saws and provide needed support;

·         Respect SST’s instructions (lockout and other) as well as other operational guidelines;

·         Execute any other related task.

COMPETENCIES AND PERSONAL QUALITIES

·         Be in good physical shape;

·         Be able to stand up all day for work;

·         Must be able to respond to all requirements of this job

·         Multifaceted skill set;

·         Meticulous.

EXPERIENCES AND REQUIREMENTS

·         Minimum of 1 year of experience as a laborer;

·         Factory experience (an asset).
