As a key member of the Talent Acquisition Team, the Talent Acquisition Advisor will act as a recruitment expert for many of Parkland’s business units through understanding functional hiring needs, position specifications and search requirements. The successful candidate will manage full-cycle recruitment for a large volume of positions across Canada and will partner with the talent acquisition team to bring in top level candidates for entry-level to senior-level positions.

 

PROFILE

 

  • Lead, facilitate, and complete full-cycle recruitment for a high volume of roles in Parkland’s Corporate and Commercial divisions (inclusive of prescreening, interviewing, testing, referencing, making and negotiating job offers, and preparing employment packages);
  • Provide outstanding guidance to our business leaders throughout the entire hiring process and translate business needs into strong recruitment strategies.
  • Proactively source talent and identify opportunities to connect with emerging employment markets;
  • Champion our company and brand to attract highly qualified candidates;
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Advisors and hiring managers to discuss search strategies and conduct market analysis and industry research to develop sourcing strategies;
  • Source passive candidates through direct channels, internet sourcing, and relationship building;
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions to improve talent acquisition service delivery;
  • Approach each day with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude and a proactive, data-driven approach to find root-causes and fix them;
  • Track, analyze and report on key recruitment metrics; and
  • If required, support the onboarding of new hires into the organization.

 

SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

  • Candidate must be Bilingual in French and English;
  • A minimum of 5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, ideally in an in-house corporate environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers;
  • Ability to handle a high-volume of recruitment and work well under pressure;
  • Highly articulate, well-developed, effective written and verbal communication skills used to gather information and engage potential candidate's interest in Parkland Fuel Corporation;
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates utilizing various channels and tools;
  • Excellent negotiating skills coupled with strong ability to handle objections effectively;
  • Strong organizational skills and a multi-tasking style and project management approach;
  • Highly consultative, able to inform hiring managers and candidates on the talent acquisition process, illustrate market trends, and use data/information to help in decision making; and
  • Results-oriented mindset (high sense of urgency, determination, tenacity, etc.).

 

EDUCATION

 

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

  • Salary from 66 000/year based on your experience
